All participants of the Final GA got medals from the Project Office for successful outcome and endurance during the four years.
The full consortium met in Porto, Portugal, 25th – 26th September for the final General Assembly of the SWITCH-ON project. All the outcomes from the scientific experiments and product development were reported so all could see the achievements of the project. The main outcomes were the fourteen commercial information services for better water management and contingency planning in Europe (35 paying customers all over Europe), as well as a virtual research lab with several published experiments (more than 60 researchers from 16 countries have associations with the open lab). It was concluded that SWITCH-ON has made a major contribution to implement the EU policy on the “Three O’s” (Open Innovation, Open Science and Open to the World).
